*Original Art* - A textured / multi media painting "Start Guide"

This is an original textured / multi media painting on a 16 x 23.5 inch mdf substrate.   The art work is created primarily with chalk paint and is sealed with waxes.  A wide variety of techniques were used to create different facets of the painting - the mountain range is very textured - created with a mineral additive.  The antique astrolabe is a WoodUbend applique painted with bronze metal effect paint and highlighted with antique gold gilding wax.  My thoughts in creating this painting were centered on the people that, for thousands of years, have found their way using an astrolabe and the stars as their guide.  
 
This listing is for the original art without a frame. The sides are painted - the painting could have a hanger installed and be hung as is or would be suitable for professional framing. The painting is signed and dated on the back and will be accompanied by a signed certificate of authenticity.
